How to get the AW17 makeup looks
It’s September and that means one important thing – we’ve just launched our brand new Autumn/Winter 2017 collection!
Inspired by the fluidity and movement of the human body and focusing on modern femininity, A/W17 is, in our opinion, quite possibly the most gorgeous collection yet. We really wanted to reflect this ethos in the mood shoot and as such worked long and hard on the creative concept, including of course the hair and makeup looks.
Nikki Wolff is London-based makeup artist and is truly a wizard – we’ve been using her for our campaign shoots for many seasons now and wouldn’t change a thing (@nikki_makeup).
We caught up with her at the shoot and got the low down on how to achieve both delectable looks. Complete with a list of the products used you have everything you need to get that glow!
FIRST LOOK
Skin –
Dermalogica Active Moist
Cover FX Illuminating Primer
Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation
Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer
Estée Lauder Perfectionist Serum & Concealer
Becca Highlighter in Opal and a sweep of blush.
The makeup was then finished whilst keeping skin looking dewy with the Cover FX Illuminating Setting spray.
Eyes -
For the first look on eyes she kept it very simple, using only a Mac Paint in Sublime Nature as an eyeshadow, lining eyes with a black gel liner (‘I love Delilah Gel Eye Liner’) and then curling lashes and applying a generous sweep of mascara.
She filled in the brows using Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow pomade and combed them up for a softer, youthful feel.
A touch of highlight in the inner corners of the eyes finished the look.
SECOND LOOK
Skin –
To add a bit more sultry drama to the second look she just used one product on both the girls.
The Estee Edit Metallishadow Crème + Powder in the shade 'Solar Blast’. The crème part is a densely coloured cream shadow that when applied on lids and blended stays put and can be a base for the shadow part if you choose to make the look more shimmery.
Eyes -
She only used a touch of the shimmery part in the inner corners of the eyes to create a pop of highlight in contrast to the matte lids.
Lips -
She slightly pressed a Tom Ford sheer nude lipstick in shade 'Abandon' onto the girls’ lips. This is very natural and fresh and keeps the look all about the skin and eyes.
The two gorgeous looks reflect the different drops of A/W17 – both work well together whilst maintaining their own gorgeousness individually.
Bluebella is all about wearing lingerie that makes you feel empowered and that’s exactly why Nikki is herself a fan, her favourites being our bodies; ‘Dressing for yourself to feel sexy then totally makes you sexier for anyone else too’.
Too right.
So be inspired and take that extra step towards feeling absolutely amazing – don your favourite Bluebella pieces, treat yourself to some of the gorgeous products above and, frankly, swan about.
A/W17 is your season!
